Dream Job or Day-Dream Job ?
"It just feels like it was yesterday when I got Admission. Its about to be over and I still know nothing of Computer
Science"; my friend said.
"Bhai, what will you do after the Degree ? Job chahiye ya ghr baithna hai ?" I asked curiously.
"Na re , Job mil jaaegi" he again told me.
" How ?" I asked again.
And he has No answer to my question.
Let
me tell you a well known theory I examined in my college. In first year
we are very calm, proper and disciplined. We study well and we almost
clear all the subjects. 2nd year something happens. We become more relaxing and take everything very lightly. All we care about is our subjects and how to clear them. In third year we start to realize about our subjects as sometime we have buck-load of papers( including suppl. ) As the 4th year comes we start to take tension about our life after the degree. Its the deciding year and it will decide how you will spend rest of your life.
All the time in the degree we are concerned about the subjects and how to pass these subjects. In this hurry, we forget to develop our skill set. I started this post with a conversation. This is just not created but 60% of the students of 4th year have no idea what will they do after the degree. 40% of who knows, 25% students will take their family business and only 15% have made some plans of which only 5% got successful. Only a narrow ratio of students will utilize their engineering degree. Why is it like this ? The answer to that question is little depressing.
As we know that we all are procrastinators. We always delay our work. But as an Engineers we have developed some high level of Procrastination. We procrastinate the tension about our Job. If you think today about your job, 90% times you satisfy yourself that you will figure out something as you have enough time to think about it. But the
irony is, We Don't. We don't have a special type of time to figure out any method to get Job. We are so good at satisfying ourselves that we don't even distinguish between false satisfaction and true. The time we wake up from this is damn too late. That time nothing helps us. Not our degree , not our subjects and not even our college. We are left with only one thing, regret. Next thing we do is to sit at home. Believe me , siting home without any job is the worst most and depressing feeling of your life.
All I am telling you is that don't be fool. Start thinking today, now and this moment. The more seriously you take your future , more success you will get. Concentrate on your subjects and your skill set equally. Your Degree can help you sit in an Interview but only your Skill Set will help you get that job. The World is cruel, don't be a Sheep and follow , be a wolf and rule as an alpha.

The Naive Education
From First Year to Final. We Learn from Our Seniors.
The second type are the one who are little out of tracks. Have knowledge about subjects but only the amount they need in future. No more no less.
These are little random people. I call them "The Dreamers". These people sometime will tell you to have fun , and sometimes the basic things about how to survive out in the world, just not by helping with your exams but other activities too. At last there is the third kind in this. The One who don't give a damn about the Degree. They will always tell you to relax. According to them, Everything is well planned. These are "Mocking Birds". Evey year, the "Lot" gets divided into these three groups. Every group hates the other. If you don't like this post upto this, you should leave now because things will get ugly fast.
When we step in college, its totally different Environment for all. Fresher won't look at college to know how it is, they look at the Seniors.They envy, adopt and follow their seniors. But , maximum time in college the relation between seniors and juniors becomes casual. Juniors hangs out with the seniors, they eat together and they even live together. This causes mutual disrespect(casually) for all the other seniors. It creates a casual behavior of Juniors towards Seniors.
In my case , when I was in First year , many times some of the seniors went to each and every class. What they say is to greet them with "Sir" and wish them "Good Morning / Good Evening". They Demand this in such a way that it just look like a Request. But , its actually called "Begging".
You can't Beg for Respect ! What you getting from this is not Respect. You have to earn it. The best people and best seniors you will met in your college who don't do things like these. If you got treated bad when you were a junior, you will carry on the same legacy, doing the same to your Juniors.
I just want to say, do something that they should respect you. Help everyone. Help juniors by telling them the mistakes you've done at time when you were at their place. If you are Junior , Respect those who are worthy. By writing this I didn't mean to disrespect anyone. Hope you will like it.
Why Teacher's Aren't Creative ?
If you listen to your teacher carefully you will note that maximum time they do is "Translations". You can find exact wording on the reference books of your syllabus. We won't even try to think about it and we just copy down each word coming out of the mouth.
We are so dependent now a days that we can't even think by ourselves. Spoon feeding is making our imagination narrow. If our teacher can't think out of the box then how can we learn something like that from them ? This is the question that keeps me wake up all night.
Teachers aren't responsible for this, sometimes. The Education System is Providing Education for all, in present, its just a Business. They are not providing children the Education that can change their lives. They're telling them, somehow, that the theoretical marks on there mark sheet weighs more than the knowledge of the same thing in real world. What we all need is such Perfectly Modeled Education System which will provide us more Practical Knowledge. We don't just need to study, we need to feel each and every part of knowledge by our self.
Sometimes, teacher are the one who don't want us to be more creative. Last week a read an article about this. I am not blaming every teacher out there but, the thing is Creativity frightens them. let me tell you how !

This 1 individual creates the mess, but believe me or not , he got bigger chances of being successful in life. I called this "Open Box Effect". I will cover this in another article.
So am here writing all these stuff about creativity. No one can make you creative, you have to feel yourself from inside. The only thing that can make you creative is when you erase the boundaries of your Imagination. Keep Thinking.

The Truth
"We are Engineers".
Often we Shout out loud this on various Facebook pages and groups. We feel very proud to be an Engineers. Why wouldn't be ?
"Scientists invent the world that already exists , an Engineer create the world that never existed".

But for the first time be honest in your life and ask a question to yourself. Are you ready to be in the market and discover new things ? We aren't. So , whats the reason behind this ? Maximum time we blame our teachers, "Our teachers don't know anything" or "they are not creative". Are you going to blame teachers for everything, when after 6 years you will be sitting at home , Unemployed ? Or doing Rs 8000 Job ? You have spent maximum 5 lac on your Engineering Degree and after it just 8k ? My dear friends, if you still blame others for your failure, you're never gonna be successful in your life.
"Then what is the problem ?" , "Why so low salary for us ?" , "why no jobs for us ?". These question my dear friends are the life changing questions. If you got right answers, it will be the first day of your life. If you got it wrong then nobody in the whole world can save you from your downfall. I am writing all this stuff , but am not perfect. I just know the status of the market. The number of people struggling are in thousands. Same, they are also looking for a job, maximum of them are better than us. But still they are struggling. There are only two reason behind this thing. First one is our Education system and the other one is our attitude towards it. We think that passing all these subjects and getting good percentage will gonna help us getting the dream job. But the answer is, NO. It won't help you. The only thing which is going to help you is your practical skills and your communication skills. Build your practical skills, know the upcoming technologies, study your trades.
The time you waste chatting with your friends, just read articles of big MNC. Maximum of you won't reach this line i wrote, they may have closed this topic like its just an other crap speech. But those who are still reading this wants to know , wants to achieve something in your life. So start now !!
I can't tell you what to do, you opted your trade and now you know about it. To make your life better , to be something in your life you have to sacrifice a lot. You know what to do more than i can tell. So , ACT NOW !!
